Xero Gold Partner since 2017
Xero setup, migration and training in Singapore
We configure your Xero organisation and chart of accounts to reflect your business operations and reporting needs. The same engagement can be a new organisation or a move from the system you use now.
Octo has completed more than 200 Xero implementations since 2016. That figure covers new Xero organisations and migrations onto Xero. Your team receives practical Xero training so they can use the system confidently in their day-to-day work, and support continues for six months after go-live.
What the setup includes
| Deliverable | When | In this engagement |

The Xero advisor profile also lists associate certification (L1) and professional certification (L2) on the team.
How a migration runs
Octo is a Xero migration specialist. A migration is scoped from the system the books are in today.
- 1
Initial assessment
Where the books live now, roughly how many transactions move each month, and which periods are in the quote.
- 2
Data review
The last closed accounts, and what will be brought into the new organisation. Periods outside the quote stay out until they are priced.
- 3
Configuration
The chart of accounts is built for the business, and the bank feed is connected.
- 4
Checks before go-live
Opening figures are agreed to the last set of accounts you supply. The bank feed is checked to confirm transactions are coming through. Differences are raised with you before the organisation is treated as live.
- 5
Handover
The people who will use Xero are trained on the organisation. The six months of support start from go-live.
Questions owners ask
Can you migrate an existing system?
Yes. The work starts from where the books are now, whether that is another accounting system or spreadsheets. Periods outside the agreed scope are quoted before they are brought in.
What do you check before go-live?
Opening figures are agreed to the last set of accounts you supply, and the bank feed is checked to confirm transactions are coming through. Differences are raised with you before the organisation is treated as live.
What does six months of support include?
Questions about the chart of accounts, the bank feed and the tasks covered in training, by phone or email, for six months after go-live. Monthly bookkeeping, payroll, tax and periods that were not in the setup quote are quoted separately.
Is the Xero subscription included?
No. The subscription is your account with Xero. You keep the login. Octo’s fee covers the setup, the migration in the quote, the training and the six months of support.
What does the 200 implementations figure mean?
It is the figure on Octo’s Xero advisor profile: more than 200 Xero implementations since 2016, covering new organisations and migrations onto Xero.
