Planning once the numbers are visible

Business advisory services for Singapore SMEs

Cash-flow planning, profitability from the recorded margins, and the effect of a new hire. The monthly reports stay on the reporting page. This session uses those numbers for a decision. It is not investment advice.

What an advisory session covers

Cash-flow planning

Cash-flow planning to help you understand upcoming expenses, expected receipts and the funding your business may need. The starting point is the cash figure in the monthly accounts.

Costs and margins

Understand your costs and margins to identify which products, services or projects contribute most to profitability. The view comes from the profit already recorded for the month.

A hiring decision

Assess how a new hire could affect monthly payroll costs, cash flow and profitability before you make a hiring decision. Bring the proposed salary and the month you expect the person to start.

What to bring

  1. 1

    The decision

Cash, pricing, or a hire. One decision is a one-off review. A session after each monthly report is a regular scope.

  2. 2

    The latest numbers

Profit, the balance sheet and cash for the latest month. If Octo already keeps the file, that access is enough.

  3. 3

    The fee, before the session

We confirm the fee before the advisory work starts. The first session is not a free consultation. If you are still deciding which accounting support you need, the Finance Clarity Assessment has no charge.

Questions owners ask

What does business advisory include?

Cash-flow planning from the monthly accounts, a look at costs and margins, and the effect of a proposed hire on payroll, cash and profit. It uses the profit, balance sheet and cash already prepared. It does not include investment advice.

Do I need Octo for bookkeeping first?

Yes. Advisory starts once bookkeeping and the monthly report are in place. If the books are not current, that work is quoted first.

Is the first conversation free?

No. The advisory session is quoted before it starts. The Finance Clarity Assessment is a separate check, with no charge, for accounting, reporting and compliance needs.

What should I bring?

The decision you are considering, the latest monthly profit, balance sheet and cash, and for a hire the proposed salary and start month. If Octo already keeps the file, access to that file is enough.

How is the fee determined?

As a one-off review, or as a session after each monthly report. We confirm the fee before that work starts.

Next step

Discuss your business's next financial decision.

Tell us the decision, and send the latest monthly report or say that Octo already keeps the file. We will reply with the scope and the fee. The advisory session starts after you confirm that fee.
