Payroll

Payroll

Payroll kept with the monthly accounts

Wages sit in the same engagement as the books, so the payroll month and the accounting month are not two separate stories.

How payroll is scoped

With the accounts

Payroll is quoted with the monthly bookkeeping, based on headcount and pay frequency.

In the Xero file

The payroll result is recorded in the same Xero file the management report uses.

Visible in the month

Wage cost shows up in the monthly report, next to profit and cash.

Questions owners ask

Can payroll stand alone?

It can, but most companies keep it with the monthly accounts so the books and the payslips agree.

What do you need to quote?

Headcount, pay frequency, and whether the company already runs payroll in a separate tool.

Does this include tax filing?

Corporate tax is a separate engagement. See corporate tax for Form C-S or Form C.

Tell us the headcount.

That is enough to reply with a payroll scope and a fee.
